Akia is an NPC in Saliko Village. She assists you on various quests throughout Saliko, and also makes an appearance during quests later on in your journey outside of Saliko.

Background

Akia belongs to a species of plant creatures that live high up on Midnight Mountain - a mountain surrounded by other mountains so high that no sunlight ever reaches it. Since it is always night there, animals and plants have adapted so they can be seen in the scarce light that's there, displaying vibrant and iridescent colours.

For as far back as these little plant creatures can remember, they have always been at Midnight Mountain; together with Elders (larger tree-like creatures) that they honour. Recently more and more vile monsters have popped up at the mountain, so they built themselves a large fortification around their village, and have so far successfully fended off any that wanted to do them harm.

Akia got separated from them; how, she doesn't remember. She was found by farmers at the cave leading to the foot of Midnight Mountain and raised at their place, as the only one of her kind. Going back was not an option; Midnight Mountain is known to be extremely dangerous (save for the now fortified village Akia came from), so everyone avoids it, and no one knows what's there.

Akia dreams of becoming a priest; aside from what the farmers taught her, she knows a few powerful regeneration spells that she learned from the elders when she was still with her kind. Being careful by nature show knows not to share knowledge about magic with strangers (after all, their village back at Midnight Mountain has been under attack for a long time now, and you don't want to make a potential enemy stronger). At the same time, however, she is also very protective over her friends, and won't let any harm come to them, no matter what.

Alexandra Gibson is a NPC in Saliko Village, next to Ervin (the NPC you talk to to queue for the PvP game mode Monster Hunt). She is a scholar from the Saliko Academy.

Available from the first moment you enter Saliko Village, you can talk to her to change your fur color in exchange for gold.

Analyse

Alexandra Gibson offers a quest chain that gives you access to the skill Analyze. Using Analyze on a monster adds their record to the Monster Compendium. You can access the Monster Compendium by using Analyze on yourself.

When a monster is scanned, their detailed info page is shown to you, but it also reveals additional details on their info tag (such as their element and element level when hovering over them with a mouse) after moving to a different map.

Blu is an NPC in the right-most corner of the Farmhouse Entrance, just below the stairs. Blu also temporarily appears in the right-most corner of Saliko Village until the player completes the quest Wildwood Menace.

Choco is an NPC in Saliko Village, and student of the Saliko Academy. She can be found sitting in the middle of Saliko Village, Saliko Fields I and in the Peachleaf Cafe (during her quests). Her hobbies include looking through old maps and hunting for treasure.

Coren is a lone trader in the High Plains of Saliko. He deals with all sorts of handicrafts, from necklaces to leather armour. He is also responsible for queuing the Stix and Stones trial.

A fliffy NPC found in Saliko Forest, two clicks east of Saliko Village. It offers you a single quest to help it find it's lost carrot while fending off any attackers.

The Mysterious Stone Cave is an NPC in West Saliko Forest (2). It can only be interacted with if you have the Stone Key. The Stone Key can be found from defeating Cotton, a pink bluebell that rarely spawns around Saliko Creek.

Once you have the Stone Key, selecting 'Place the key in the door' will take you to A Cave in Saliko Forest, with Cotton (NPC) inside. Interacting with Cotton will allow you to obtain it as a pet, but in exchange you lose the key to access the cave.

If your character has the Stone Key in their inventory.

Mysterious Stone Cave: * You look at what seems to be a large rock in the middle of Saliko's lush forests. Its entrance is blocked by a massive stone door, with a small hole that seems to accept some kind of key. *

  • * The door appears to be locked! The sheer weight of stone makes it impossible to break it open, and it won't budge an inch. *

Cotton: * While you are finally exploring the small stone cave in Saliko Forest, you find a timid creature, hiding in the deepest corner of the tunnel. The small fountain at its feet and the cave moss must have provided it with some food - but nevertheless, it is very weak. *

  • Cotton: * Did it hide in the cave from something else, or was it locked in here against its will? Nevertheless, you decide to take care of it. You approach it slowly, place the key that unlocked its dark prison on the ground as a gesture of trust, and nudge it towards the creature. *

Radium is a young sorcerer who lives next to the entrance leading to the Everchange Caverns. Radium was also a player who created several maps, and thus was immortalized as an NPC selling a variety of items. This also led to the birth of the map called Radium's Den. Radium is the only NPC known to have four different shops.

Radium possesses a lost-and-found shop, allowing you to repurchase equipment received from quests for 25 gold a piece. If there was a quest where you could only choose between one of the listed options, you can sell the equipment and repurchase a different option from the lost-and-found shop. Note that there will be only equipment in the shop if you've sold them previously, and it depends on your progress made through quests (the more quests you've done, the more quest-exclusive equipment you've sold).

Radium also possesses a Fur Pattern shop, allowing you to choose between patterns that have already been previously made for public use by other players and the game master himself. You can preview to see how it would look like on your character, and try it on for free (only you can see it, goes away after logging off and back on), and purchase them at a 30 minute grace period (if you don't like the fur pattern you bought and decide to go after another one). The Fancy Magic Box, sold in Radium's regular shop for 175 gold can be used towards a custom pattern.

Radium also sells special items in the VIP shop at the cost of participation badges, which can be earned through helping a new player achieve first-time clear for a dungeon, or tackle on a dungeon at a level scaled to the dungeon's minimum.

Rain (left) is an NPC in the Spider Pit (located east of the Deep Forest, north-east portal from the Junction, north path from the east forest). She has dedicated her life studying in Saliko with Roger, while also raising several fliffies.

When the player meets her for the first time, Roger has gone missing.

Rey is an NPC in the Descent of the Deep Mines dungeon (located in the East Caves). The player will first find him unconscious, lying on the ground. He has no quests.

Talking to him will prompt an option to feed him a small healing potion (may need two) or a lesser healing potion (only need one) if you have one or the other in your inventory. He will get up after feeding him the potion, aiding you as a healer until you try to get to the next map below. Rey can easily be knocked out by the zombies if many attack him at once, thus returning to the same location as he was once before. If you make it to near the bottom-right portal of Descent and have eliminated all of the zombies, Rey will leave you, as he is unable to continue.

Roger (right) is an NPC first encountered in the Hollow Tree dungeon, right after defeating Vilefang. After his quests, he will relocate permanently to the Spider Pit beside Rain (located east of the Deep Forest, north-east portal from the Junction, north path from the east forest).

He has dedicated his life studying in Saliko with Rain. One of his lifetime goals involve drawing a map of Saliko.

Rolf is an NPC in Saliko Forest IV (beyond the right path of the junction along the northern path of the east forest). He is known to raise preciously large carrots for a living, often defending against waves of caterpillars with cheap produce. His two quests: Carrot Defense I and II work in a fashion similar to a tower defense game.

Rose is a forest witch located in A Secluded Place, close to the crossroads in Far East of Saliko Village (along the south-east trail; four clicks away from Saliko Village). Her unwillingness to talk to strangers changes when you help recover her ring stolen by the bugs in the forest nearby.

Sei is an NPC in Deep Caves, located in the dungeon The Deep Mines. Sei is a part of the snow spirits, but was forced to stay in the East Caves in Saliko due to the widespread influence of Sakkara's curse. After completing The Curse and Zhakkan is defeated, a spirit of Zhakkan appears and passes the title and responsibilities of guardian to Sei.

Sei also shows up if Alexandra is still present in the map after defeating Sakkara in the dungeon The Battle For Ashaya to rescue her. Sei mentions that Alexandra will stay with Sei for the time being until she recovers, and both disappear afterwards. Sei can still be found at the Deep Mines, but without Alexandra.

Theo is an NPC in Jack's Farm, east of Jack's Farmhouse and close to North Saliko Forest. The player originally finds him spending his time sleeping on the job, not bothering to feed the starving bluebells. After a series of quests, Theo begins to warm up to the player, and rededicates himself to taking care of the bluebells.

Theodor Goldtooth is an NPC in the High Plains of Saliko. He is a clever confidence trickster that uses others to achieve his goal of collecting cheese.

In The Love Potion quest line, Rose sold the only love potion remaining to Theodor. Upon visiting Theodor for his love potion, he saw this as an opportunity to use the player to retrieve the Golden Cheese from Goldsnare.

After returning the Golden Cheese to him, he claims to have been attacked by Danae, who stole the potion from him and ran off to the Everchange Caverns. You go into the Everchange Hideout to confront her, successfully taking back the love potion and giving it back to Ervin.

But after the player defeats Danae, she drops a receipt that says "1 Love Potion for 20,000 cheese". This meant that Theodor not only scammed Danae out of her cheese, but also lied to the player about being attacked, using the player to get rid of her in the process.
